Wood Boxes are another one of my enjoyable pleasures to turn. They allow woodturners to turn more than just domestic woods and, given their size as compared to bowls, make affording exotic woods reasonable. And exotics bring a whole new level of aesthetic prospects and variety into play while avoiding a homogenous appearance to lidded boxes.
Lidded containers and wood boxes can be turned in an assortment of shapes and designs for a wide selection of uses including, but not limited to, jewelry boxes, pill boxes, canisters, humidors, keepsake boxes, candy boxes, potpourri boxes, etc. As I stated in the Bowl Section, don’t let my suggested uses limit your imagination for the use of a lidded box.
